A.C. Traders brought you Mi Café, an Organic, Shade-
grown, Medium-Roasted Coffee. The coffee is grown
and roasted in El Salvador, Central America at:
Coperativa La Union. Coperativa La Union is
organically certified by BCS of Germany; a
recognized USDA (United States Department of
Agriculture) organic agent.
The landscape on which the coffee is grown, under a
shade canopy, naturally provides the nutrients that
coffee plants require to grow healthy.
The shade-canopy helps to eliminate the need for
agro-chemicals and pesticides and it also assists in:
- conserving soil nutrients
- increasing water retention
- reducing soil erosion
The shade-canopy also attracts local birds to the
area. Local farmers believe that birds act a nature’s
own pesticide and their song help the coffee plants
grow in harmony with the environment.
